Goldilocks Idaho- 2013

One of the most beautiful, well-organized rides I’ve participated in. My legs were feeling dead, but I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else this weekend!

 

Riverton 10K

My running partner Tyler talked me into this 4th of July run. I love racing on my birthday, but I’d never done a 10K. I was as nervous as I am before a marathon. Tyler was hoping for a 40 minute finish. It was super humid and a very hilly, tough course. I finished in 41:09 and was the second overall female coming behind Kim Taylor (again-she beat in at the St. George Marathon last year) by about 17 seconds. I won a foot massager! Happy birthday to me!!!

 

Cowart Girls’ Track Success

This is Ali’s first year doing track. She wanted a ribbon so badly that she was willing to run the 800 to get it. Not many 6-year-olds do it. She came in 4th. Story to come. Kaitlynne also wanted a ribbon and chose shot put and high jump. She came in 6th and 4th. For as happy as these girls are, these could have been blue ribbons! Love seeing them work hard and reap the rewards!

Boston Finish

Taken as I passed my husband at the Mile 26 banner on Boylston St. There were so many reasons to celebrate that day. I will always remember this moment. Never expected to run a course PR, but that’s exactly what happened. 3:11:22. Such a perfect day.

 

Lucky Boston Bib

Had my 2013 Boston Marathon bib signed by 5 of the 6 2012 Olympic marathoners. Shalane, Kara, Ryan, Meb, and my personal favorite, Desi!
